I absolutely loved that this family decided to photograph their newborn session at a local park. It was the perfect setting to document their new family of three. The fact that they could also include their sweet dog made it that much sweeter!
The park in San Marco served as the perfect location for a newborn family session with a quiet outdoor space making it less distracting and easy to focus on connecing with your family. A quiet, less crowded park ensures a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, making the family feel comfortable and allowing for more natural interactions. The San Marco park is also fill with many trees offering beautiful soft, filtered light.
The best time for an outdoor newborn session at a shady park is 2 hours before sunset. This soft, warm light makes photos look magical and avoids harsh shadows that can occur in the midday sun. Interesting fact, the day of the scheduled session it was unexpectedly overcast and it started to sprinkle. Thankfully we the weather report showed beautiful sunshine the next day and we rescheduled the session to get better lighting.
The family coordinated their outfits so beautifully! I love that they choose soft pinks and neutral pieces to compliment the neutral park environment. While matching outfits aren’t necessary, choosing colors that complement each other creates a polished timelesslook.
